Sometimes it takes two tries to get the right photos. We met up with Katie and DJ at Isabelle Farms in Boulder to take photos to celebrate their recent engagement that was 8 years in the making. Unfortunately the weather was pretty terrible. Aside from about 10 minutes of sunlight it was pretty cold and rainy all day. While we were able to get some great photos despite mother nature, we opted to come back the following weekend to try and get some shots that actually showed the mountains that had been hiding behind the clouds. I’m super glad we did because Boulder is an awesome place for engagement photos and when the weather is nice there are few places with views that are more scenic.
On day two we stopped at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder for photos with views of the nearby Flatiron Mountains. The view was incredible. I usually end up kicking myself because we almost never stay long enough for a good sunset. This time we made sure to wait though, and I think the wait was worth it. I had a blast taking these photos.
