Hi! I’m Dan. I’m a wedding and portrait photographer living in San Diego, CA. After spending the last 8ish years living in Denver, Colorado I am super excited to be back in my hometown of San Diego. While I’m still most likely going to shoot frequently all over the Western states I’m super excited to not have to deal with foul weather any more while being able to shoot a more balanced year round wedding schedule instead of booking 90% of my weddings in a 5 month period.
I took up photography in 2004 and it has slowly consumed my life ever since. I shot my first wedding in 2012 and was finally able to make it my full time gig in 2016. I never thought I would enjoy shooting weddings when I first took up the hobby but from the moment I shot my first one I knew I’d never want to do anything else. It’s seriously the best job.
I’m generally considered by my friends to be a giant. I’m a burrito fanatic. I really love to geek out over baseball and enjoy collecting vintage baseball cards. Dogs and kids generally love me, probably because they think I have candy…and I probably do. I’ve recently taken up jogging comically slowly. I’ve recently become obsessed with succulents. I’m also an extreme night owl.
