Earlier this summer my good friends Jeremy and Shelby were married at Christies of Genesee in Genesee Colorado. From all indications it looked like Colorado was going to do it’s crazy weather thing and put a huge damper on the day. During the ceremony the rain started to sprinkle down and I really started to worry. Fortunately we were truly blessed and aside from a few sprinkles that the bride and groom didn’t even notice the weather held.
While taking portraits among the many trees behind Christies just as we were ready to walk back inside we noticed that the clouds parted and the light peaked through the trees. The light lasted no more than 15 minutes but it gave us some of my favorite photos from the day. It’s funny how all it takes sometimes is 15 minutes to change the tone of an entire wedding. We were incredibly fortunate that we happened to be in the right place at the right time.
The wedding ceremony and reception were both beautiful and we had a fantastic time.
