Way back in June of last year Alyssa and Josh invited me to take their engagement photos up at the Maroon Bells in Aspen and it was absolutely incredible. At that point I had lived in Denver for almost 6 years and had never been to Aspen. Boy was I missing out. The Maroon Bells look like somebody photoshopped them in real life. There’s just so much color. Thanks to Google Maps we took the shorter, infinitely more sketchy Independence Pass. It wasn’t awful going there, but coming home was nothing short of insane. A single lane road around a curve on the side of a mountain?? No thank you. I’m headed back to Aspen for a wedding this summer and we’ll be taking the long way around!
Even though the ride was terrifying at times, I had an amazing time. The weather and scenery were perfect and the company was just as great. I’m truly fortunate to get to do this kind of thing on a regular basis.
