Kelly and Mike were married just over a year ago and wanted to celebrate the occasion by having some anniversary photos taken. They also recently became the owners of a lovely new home. After mulling ideas we decided to try taking photos at nearby Cherry Creek State Park. I have spent a good deal of time visiting the park but have never taken any photos there. I’m glad I finally got the chance because it was a ton of fun.
One of the cool things about Cherry Creek State Park is that you get a lot of variety when it comes to views. There’s a reservoir in the middle. If you look west you’ve gotten stunning mountain views. If you look east you have huge panoramic sky views. If you want trees you have them. If you don’t want trees you have that option too. If you want a wild goose to invade your personal space there’s that too.
Lucky for me Kelly and Mike were pretty much up for all of the above. Minus the goose, that dude needs to respect boundaries. As always I had a great time with these two and love the photos we made together.
