It’s a complete shame that Kenosha Pass was yet another Colorado landmark that I hadn’t visited prior to doing an engagement shoot there. Fortunately for me Katie and Kyle do a bunch of cool stuff on a regular basis and suggested we go there for their session. When we first got up there it was cool but a little on the underwhelming side. It was super overcast and beginning to rain. Very drab. As time progressed the sky didn’t look promising, while it hadn’t started to pour it was starting to get pretty cold and very windy. Just our luck. But then we hit the jackpot. The clouds broke open just enough for the sun to cause a color explosion in the sky. It was brief, but absolutely spectacular.
The entire time Katie and Kyle were amazing company, even when it looked like things were going to get miserable. We were laughing and joking for hours like we’d been friends for years. This was further proof that I am super fortunate to get to do what I do with the coolest people.
