For most couples having rain on your wedding day is a worst case scenario. Especially so when you’re planning on having an outdoor ceremony. On the day Hope and Alex got married it poured. We’re talking huge, borderline freezing rain drops. When you plan on getting married under a garland made of hop vines in front of some enormous boulders surrounded by trees, you do it. Hope and Alex were married outside in pouring rain and it was awesome. Fortunately, the overwhelming majority of guests were from out of town and were able to grab some dry clothes out of their cars so they wouldn’t be cold and wet all night.
Some other highlights of the day included a ceremony full of Game of Thrones , Hope and Alex unknowingly delivering almost identical vows, the sky clearing for portrait time and a huge pack of deer roaming through the ranch, and one heck of a party. Having now been to Stove Prairie Ranch a couple times I can say it’s a pretty unique place to get married. The view from the ceremony site alone is one of my favorites of any venue. Despite the rain this was one of my favorite weddings I’ve been a part of just because it was so fun and so unique.
