So my last two weddings were both at the same church and I couldn’t be happier about that. Ryssby Church in Longmont has quickly become one of my favorite wedding ceremony locations. The setting outside is beautiful and the light inside is absolutely amazing. I could get spoiled shooting there.
While there may not have been any bear suit appearances at the wedding Heather and Noah had an incredible wedding. Much to the surprise of Heather and Noah the ceremony paused mid way through and art supplies were brought out for everyone to draw nice pictures and messages to give the newlyweds. Heather and Noah were supplied with their own canvases where they drew pictures of the most important things in their lives, each other. Other memorable highlights include a vintage wedding dress from the 1940’s, a classic Chevy Bel Air, epic glow stick battles and a bunch of friends having a wonderful time.
It’s hard to imagine a venue that can top Ryssby Church in the fall. The reception was at the nearby D-Barn which is always a fun and rustic venue as well. Another significant thing about this wedding was the debut of former bride/client Anna Alcorn as my second shooter. After expressing interest in getting into photography herself she agreed to let me throw her to the wolves and shoot alongside me and did a heck of a job.
