By all accounts 2016 was one of the stranger years in recent memory and I know a lot of people will say that they’re glad it’s over. My take on 2016 is a little different though as the year was pretty excellent for me. Week after week I got to meet some of the most amazing and genuine people. Some of them shared coffee with me, others shared beer. Some let me take their photo, some let me take photos with them. Some people woke up hours before daylight so we could catch the sun rise from amazing locations, some people braved 5 hour drives in the snow and hours of wet hair to let me take their photos in a near blizzard. The months of July through November were an absolute blur. After 4 different states, dozens of towns, many ridiculously beautiful locations, 100,000+ photos and lots of amazing moments I can say without a doubt that I’m extremely fortunate to be able to do this. 2017 is already shaping up to be another awesome year and I’m pretty excited about that.
I initially started this as a “‘Best Denver Wedding Photography 2016” kind of post, but the longer I stare at a photo the less I know if it’s any good, let alone the best. I gave up on that idea pretty quickly. What you’ll see below are some of my favorite photos that I took this year. Some because of the moments, some because of the settings, some just because they’re different. All of them because of the people involved with making the photos.
I’d also like to thank everyone that let me take their photos, as well as the people that let me take photos with them or took photos with me.
Enjoy!
