The weather in Colorado is famous for being finicky. Denver has been hit with snow, rain or hail almost every weekend in May. As luck would have it though, May 3rd was a spectacular day. Not too hot, not too cold. Just enough clouds in the sky for a spectacular sunset. Anna and Caleb couldn’t have gotten married on a more perfect day and the Curtis Ballroom at the Landmark could not have been a more perfect venue for an amazing wedding.
Obviously in the grand scheme of weddings you never want the weather, good or bad, to be the headline of the day. Thankfully Anna and Caleb had a wedding day that was chock full of amazing moments on top of winning the May weather lottery. The main headline is that two wonderful people married the loves of their lives. Anna mentioned a few times that she and Caleb had been together so long that they already felt married. I had similar feelings at my own wedding. As it turns out, nothing can really prepare you for how being married actually feels. It’s such a bigger deal than I could have ever imagined. I am so honored that I keep getting the opportunity and privilege to capture the moment that a young couple pledges their love to one another in a time where it has become more and more common for people to stay together without getting married. Even though they already felt married, the commitment that they made to each other was a very big deal. True love is a very big deal, perhaps the biggest deal.
Surrounded by friends and family, Anna and Caleb got married and proceed to party their hearts out. I can only hope that these pictures can do this day justice because I certainly had an amazing time and I suspect each and every guest at this wedding had a great time too.
